The Big 50 Birthday

We all went to West Ilsley last night for a huge party celebrating 50th birthdays of Jane and two other friends of Liz.  When I say 'we all' I really mean it. Daniel came from LA. Jane was already here. Alison up from Brighton and, of course, Rachel and Charlie. Me too. It was non stop champagne from the minute we entered the marquee accompanied by excellent food and a band to die for. We drank, we ate, we talked and we danced.  The live music had to finish at 11pm so they immediately started a silent disco.  What's that, you say?  Everyone puts on wireless headphones and the music carries on.  It's surreal watching the dancers but hearing nothing.  We - Zoe, Alison and I left at that point. Alison, the teetotaller drove us home.  Here are a few pics.
